There is no garbage collection service at Teewah Village so like all visitors and campers alike it is your responsibility to bag your rubbish and place it in any of the numerous industrial bins on the north bound run up the beach or must be taken with you when leaving. Only recycling bottles may be left in the marked bin if you wish.

Sandy Beds have rainwater tanks for main water supply and bore water for gardens. There is an outside bore water shower for a rinse off after your swim or to wash down your beach toys. You can hose down your car too as all hoses are bore water. We ask you to be mindful of long showers inside especially in dry seasons to ensure tank water is conserved.

Tips For Your Trip

First of all – you will need a 4WD or All Wheel Drive and a beach permit to access Teewah easily. The beaches are treated as public roads so despite the holiday atmosphere you still need to drive safely and watch out for other vehicles and people on the beach as well as wildlife. Stay focussed on what lies ahead on the beach and be alert for debris or ‘beach washouts’ caused by run off from freshwater creeks. Please follow the speed zones and be aware of turtle season and migratory birds. My Beach Getaway is the ideal location for a beach holiday and you can easily add on a fun day trip to nearby Noosa.

Route

  • Head to Moorindil Street Tewantin and drive past the QPWS information Centre to the Noosa North Shore Ferry. (currently CASH ONLY)

  • Travel onto the beach via the 3rd Cutting and past the camera detection device for number plate recognition.
  • Travel approximately 8km north along Teewah Beach to Teewah Village entrance. Located in the 40km speed zone.

In the winter months, friends and family can snuggle beside a cosy fireplace or the outside fire pit toasting marshmallows. Watch the whales as they pass by with their new calves in tow.

Summer months it’s beautiful just strolling along the beach, sunrise or at sunset, or staring up at the stars at night. Riding a wave or splashing in the shoreline. For those who love something different you can ride horses on the beach. Equathon Horse riding adventures at Noosa North Shore and Rainbow Beach horse rides cater for you.

Here are a few things you can do during your stay. It only takes:

  • 2 minutes to walk to the beach along a sand track.
  • 1 hour for a return trip walk to the lakes (30 minutes each way).
  • 2 minutes to walk to the start of the Cooloola National Park and then Mount Seawah walk is 1 hour trail along the Great Sandy Walk one way.
